The Ashland Care Center, one of
our mission partners, is sponsoring the annual “Sanctity Of Life
Celebration” next Sunday evening, January 29, at 6:00pm at Trinity
Lutheran Church on Center Street in Ashland. The guest speaker
is Janet Folger Porter who is spearheading the effort to promote
the “Heartbeat Bill” to our state legislators. This annual rally is
always informative and inspirational, with the added blessing of
fellowship with other Christians in the community. Come and give
praise! |

“Soup”er Bowl - SALT is hosting a Super Bowl party for the
youth of the four area Church of the Brethren churches including
Maple Grove, Ashland City, and Mohican. This year they are encouraging
everyone to bring an item for the Ashland Food Bank
and those who do will receive one ticket per donation for a prize
drawing. They would like our church to provide prizes for this
event. Suggested value of the item is $10 and ideas would include
gift cards, contemporary Christian artist cd’s, small themed gift
baskets (chocolate theme, movie night, etc) or anything else a teenager
might enjoy. There is a sign-up sheet on the back table with
more information or you can contact Rod or Heidi Matz for details.
