Pastor TomPastor Tom Zuercher came to the Ashland Dickey congregation in the fall of 2002, and is now in his 32nd year of full-time church ministry. Before coming to Ashland, Pastor Tom served congregations in Danville, Middleburg Heights, Richmond Heights, and North Canton, and was the Northern Ohio District Executive for eleven years. He is a graduate of Mt. Vernon Nazarene University (B.A. – 1976) and Ashland Theological Seminary (M. Div. – 1979). He and his wife, Susan, live on Twp Rd 1323 and they both enjoy the Ashland area.
Pastor Emeritus Durward Hays was called into ministry by his home church, the Allison Prairie Church of the Brethren, in 1946. He  was ordained in 1947 and installed as an elder in the Church of the Brethren in 1948. Before moving to Ohio, he served four congregations in Indiana and Illinois from 1947 to 1961. Durward served as pastor of the Ashland Dickey congregation from 1961 to 1977. He was the pastor of the Mt. Joy Church of the Brethren in Mt. Pleasant, Pennsylvania, from 1977 until he retired from the full-time pastorate in 1990. Durward has served as pastor, counselor, chaplain, moderator, teacher and friend to many. He has five children--Kathy Hess, Fay Pritts, Joe, Dave and Floyd Hays—and three grandchildren.
 
Heidi MatzSecretary, Heidi Matz grew up in the Ashland area and attended The Ohio State University. Her husband, Rod is a firefighter/paramedic and is currently serving on the District Board. They both serve as leaders for the Youth Fellowship and on the District Youth Cabinet. They are the proud parents of a 5 year old daughter, Chloe.
